Why we are here
Machinination is a collective of machinima production groups that have decided to come to a single place in order to share resources, experience, and to attract new members for their own groups. In order to accomplish this goal we have created resources such as our guides, forums, and YouTube page to help create an atmosphere where people can congregate.
Our History
Machinination.com’s history starts on July 6th 2008 when Jayfng2 now known as TJ Mullenator and Bolddoughnut came up with the idea of starting the Lower The Guns group on Bungie.net. The goal of Lower The Guns was to bring weapon lowering to Xbox Live for Halo 3 and all future Halo games. While running this group Bolddoughnut, the founder of this website, realized that throughout the vastness of the internet there were hundreds of small machinima groups that needed help and people who wanted to help. However, these people couldn’t find a place to meet these machinima groups. This is where the idea of Machinination was born. Then in August of 2009 Bolddoughnut reserved the domain name Machinination.com and ran a forum beta which was a massive success. However, because the forums were still in beta form and with finances strained Machinination closed its beta and went on hold. However, in early 2010 Machinination.com reopened its doors and on June 8th 2010 Machinination.com officially launched.

Machinimate This Season 1 & 2 Guides
Machinimate This is a series created by Bolddoughnut that covers machinima special effects however in order to make the series as accessible as possible Bolddoughnut is taking these video tutorials and is turning them into downloadable guides with practice files! Oh and he’s making season 2 of the series!
Microsoft Copyright Contract
Machinination is taking it’s first steps to obtain a copyright contract from Microsoft that would allow us to properly pay our affiliates for their work posted on Machinination’s YouTube. While at this point in time we do not have the contract we are working on getting this prepared for an official request!
